Great Uses For a Propane Water Heater
When we hear the word “water heater” we tend to think of the huge tank that rests in the garage, supplying hot water to the entire house. We tend to think of it as an electrical gas furnace that ignites and using a burner flame boils the water inside then sends it out on demand. What many don’t realize is that there is a propane water heater that you can take with you anywhere you want. This water heater comes with several attachments that allow you to do many things.
A few great uses of a propane water heater are, installing a shower in your pool area. The portable water heaters hook up to a propane tank (the heat fuel) and have a spark generator inside that runs on two D cell batteries. It takes roughly 15 minutes for the unit to warm up but once warm it heats water on demand. It doesn’t need a tank because the water comes in from the water hose directly and is heated quickly then forced out through another port. This port is where you attach the shower hose and head assembly (usually comes with the unit). In less than 5 minutes you can set this up and attach it to a fence, or anywhere else you can create a hook to hold the shower assembly and heater casing.
You can also use the propane water heater as a hot water source for washing hands in your auto repair shop, garage, or anywhere else you need to wash your hands with soap and hot water. You can also set it up as a dog washing station, an animal washing station, even as a great way to wash an area that’s greasy or dirty and requires hot water to properly remove gunk. The beauty of this unit is it is 100% portable so you can take it camping or even use it as a temporary shower if your power goes out and you need a way to generate hot water!
The propane water heater can also be used in conjunction with a pressure washer to create a hot water car wash to really get that mud and grease off your car. There are so many ways to use one of these that I’d be here all day giving you examples. The bottom line is that this is a phenomenal way to generate hot water for many different uses and is much cheaper (and more portable) than installing a shower with plumbing. You can also put it anywhere, even where you’d not normally be able to install a shower or hot water area (i.e. if you want to make some money for charity washing dogs this is portable enough to use in front of a pet store!
